Back from My Hiatuis

Okay I know I've been slacking as far as update you guys whats going on with my hair. Well about a month and a half ago I put my yarn braids back in. LOVE them. I think that will forever go to protective style.

I began taking them down yesterday because some of them were lose and I wanted to tighten them up until I found this video on YouTube by trmic19977. So now I just want to take them down because I'm missing my quick weaves.

Now I'm kinda in between if I want to make a quick weave wig or just do a crochet. Once I make up my mind I will keep you guys updated!

The Best Moisturizer EVER!

Ever since I've gone natural I have been trying to use natural, organic products in my hair. I have discovered from reading numerous blogs and watching countless YouTube videos that raw shea butter is a great moisturizer. I used it before when I was younger on my skin and it is amazing! But it is also great for trapping in moisture and preserving elasticity in your hair. There are various things you can mix with the shea butter to create homemade products. I will post videos of different shea butter recipes and create a page for recipes that I find. Also if you would like to purchase some raw shea butter, you can purchase it right here at my new DIVA SHOP.

Pretty in Pink

Three months Natural!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Yarn Braids

After my big chop, my friend Marcus, was really trying to talk me into getting locks. I have always thought about it, but I like the option of changing my hair lot and locks are too permanent. So I was browsing You Tube and I founds some videos on yarn braids. I had heard about them before but when I saw that they looked a lot like locks, I decided to give it a try.

This was like an never ending process because this was the first time I have ever put individuals in to my own hair so it took me a while to learn how to make them really tight. By time I finish putting them in, I would be taking a section down because they were slipping but I loved them. I will mos def to them again but I will be waiting until my hair is longer so that I would have a much better grip. I had them in for like a little over a month and the hair really grew!
